Manufacturing process starts from stringent control over physical and chemical conditions of incoming raw materials like scraps, ferro alloys, fluxes etc. The scrap is preheated to 1000 degree centigrade to remove moisture, oil grease or any carbonaceous material adhered with it. After preheating necessary physical and chemical checks are made to transfer for melting. The innovations for refining of liquid steel are used, involves Nitrogen, Argon and CaSi treatment. The cleaner steel is produced by using synthetic slag for adjustment of slag composition and physical conditions. In-process samples are checked to achieve chemical composition of liquid steel in close tolerances. Liquid steel with right temperature and composition is then it is cast in preheated moulds. Stripped Ingots are identified, inspected and dressed before sending for rolling.

Ingots are charged systematically in the sequence of heat number and grade for identification and right temperature for rolling. Preheated and sufficiently soaked Ingots are then rolled to required sizes under controlled tolerances, surface finish and length. Rolled material is then bundle with identification and stored properly for final inspection, testing or for further processing.
Rounds are further heat treated in batch type, bogie hearth furnaces. The furnaces are equipped with automated time and temperature control system. Innovations on stacking, heat treatment cycle and controlled cooling for uniformity of mechanical properties and micro structure. Heat treated rounds are then identified inspected and tested for the conformity of product as per customer’s requirement.
